In war, those who suffer the most are the ones least able to protect themselves — children. Especially those who have endured sexual violence and exploitation.

Their wounds are not always visible, but they run incredibly deep. Healing is a long journey that requires trust, care, and professional support.
Recently, the Child Rescue team — currently implementing a joint project with Save Ukraine — held a meaningful meeting with representatives of the German humanitarian organization Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH).

DKH is an organization with a 60-year history, operating in 39 countries around the world. Since 2014, it has been providing humanitarian aid in Ukraine and to Ukrainians in neighboring countries, and since 2022, it has been actively supporting the protection of children and families affected by the war.

We didn’t just exchange experiences — we discussed concrete steps: how to build systematic support, how to restore trust, and how to create an environment where a child can once again feel safe.

We are sincerely grateful to DKH for their deep attention to the issue, their empathy, and their willingness to invest in long-term support.

This partnership is not about formalities. It is about a shared conviction: every child deserves not only protection but also a chance to dream again.

Thank you for your trust and belief that even in the darkest times, we can be a light for a child.

Together, we can do more!
