Child Rescue on the Daphne-CHILD Grantee Spotlight Podcast: a voice for child protection during the war
“War always creates the ground for crimes against humanity… And the most vulnerable — children — suffer the most.”
With these words, Julia Sachenko, Executive Director of Child Rescue Ukraine, spoke in the first episode of the new Daphne-CHILD Grantee Spotlight podcast.

In the podcast, Julia shared her experience and stories from Child Rescue’s work, highlighting:
- the life-saving work of our team in protecting children during the war,
- the support provided to children who have suffered from sexual violence and exploitation,
- and the assistance given to families and children who have been returned from occupied territories and deportation.
This conversation is not only about pain and hardship, but also about resilience, support, and hope that we strive to restore to children every day.
The first episode featuring Child Rescue shows that even in the most difficult times of war, Ukrainian children are not left alone with their pain.
