Participation in the dialogue platform “Human Trafficking: Life Is Fragile, But We Are Near”
Dialogue Platform “Human Trafficking: Life is Fragile, but We Are Here”
On July 31, as part of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, a powerful dialogue platform was held, organized by the Office of the Ukrainian Ombudsman in cooperation with Caritas Ukraine.
The event brought together representatives of government authorities, civil society and international organizations, journalists, human rights defenders, and ambassadors who stand daily for the protection of human dignity. Experts from regional military administrations also joined the discussion online.

It was a space of unity, where participants discussed not only the problems but also the paths to action — from prevention to recovery, from support to justice.

Among the speakers was Julia Sachenko, Executive Director of Child Rescue and an expert in combating human trafficking with 15 years of experience.
In her speech, she focused on the most sensitive issue — the exploitation of children, sexual violence, and child trafficking, which the team works with directly.
Such events are of great importance. They create a space for professional dialogue, joint problem-solving, mutual support, and the shaping of public awareness around an invisible yet very real threat — human trafficking.
- We firmly believe: speaking out means taking action.
- Informing society means protecting.
- Being present means not staying silent.
We thank the organizers for inviting us to a conversation that can save lives. And we thank every participant who is not afraid to address painful topics in the name of change.
